The Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards is THE industry awards show for the sport of MMA and has no competition by which to be benchmarked.
Having been in existence since 2008 producing 13 annual events to date the iconic Fighters Only Statuette has become a benchmark for excellence within the sport, as celebrated by its biggest stars.
Like the Laureus World Sports Awards (Global Mainstream Sports) and the ESPYS (US Sports), the Fighters Only World MMA Awards are similarly referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of their respective sports and as such the closest analogy that can be made between each of these events is that they represent the epitome of excellence within their fields (like the Grammys to Music, the Tony’s to TV and the Oscars to Film).
With the exception of the ESPY’s who concentrate purely on the US Market with regards to its broadcast reach, the World MMA Awards has a global TV Broadcast footprint partly due to the global interest in combat sports, especially Mixed Martial Arts.
The 14th Annual Fighters Only World MMA Awards nomination period runs from July 1st 2021 to June 30th 2022.
